SCORPION SOLITAIRE GUIDE

Four complete suits, still on the table.

Scorpion starts with 49 cards in seven columns and three cards in reserve. Build four separate columns from King down to Ace, each in one suit. This version keeps completed runs on the board.

Carry any visible group.

Pick a face-up card and every card below it, keeping their order. The group may contain mixed suits and out-of-order ranks. Its first card must land on the exposed card one rank higher in the same suit: 7 of hearts onto 8 of hearts.

Uncover cards and free a column.

The first four columns each begin with three hidden cards. Moving the cards covering one reveals it. Only a King or a King-led group can be manually moved into an empty column.

Use the three-card reserve once.

Deal 3 cards puts one face-up card onto each of columns 1, 2 and 3. You may deal whenever you choose, including when other moves exist or a destination column is empty. This deal does not require Kings. The marked columns show where the cards will land.

Keep completed suits in play.

A full same-suit King-to-Ace column gets a completion mark and remains on the table. It is not removed to a foundation. Four separate completed suits and an empty reserve win the game. A complete run may still move intact into an empty column.

Think beyond the first card.

Check which card will be exposed at the end of the moved group. A legal move may close a useful destination as it opens another. Hints use visible legal moves and do not promise a winning continuation.

Play by touch or keyboard.

Select a face-up card, then an exposed destination or empty column. The whole selected group is highlighted and listed. Tab reaches controls and cards; Enter or Space activates them, and Escape cancels. Undo reverses a transfer or the entire reserve deal in one step.
